Message easiest for install, given they are designed for the application. Realistically, I'd be surprised if you saw any performance difference between them.

You could try sourcing your own core via a number of online outlets, and assembling a kit for yourself to save some money.

As for oil, I would fill the oil cooler with oil before installing, then do a straight 4 qts at every change.
